Suh-Kang Il

This form is named after Grandmaster Suh Chong Kang, a central figure in the establishment of Taekwondo in the United States. He is also the father of Grandmaster Tae Sun Kang who founded the Hopkins Taekwondo Club and continues to teach Hopkins students who achieve black belt.
The word "il" means "first" in Korean. Thus "Suh Kang Il Hyung" means "the first form of (Grandmaster) Suh Kang."
The form is the first to include kicks. It can be broken up into two sequences: one which goes east and west and the other of which goes north and south.
Start in standard parallel ready position.
Step with left foot into left front stance facing West. Low block with left hand.
Right back punch in the same stance. Kihap.
Right front kick.
Land into right front stance facing West. Back hand (left hand) middle punch.
Front punch (right hand) in the same stance.
Pick up front foot and turn clockwise into front stance facing East. Low block with right hand.
Left back punch in the same stance.
Left front kick.
Land forward into left front stance facing East. Back punch (right hand).
Front punch (left hand) in the same stance.
Step with left foot into left back stance facing north. Inside block with left hand.
Move the left (front) foot to the side, changing into a left front stance facing north. Middle punch with right hand.
Right leg roundhouse kick to the north, setting the foot down in front.
Left leg side kick to the front, pulling knee back in and holding.
Land into left back stance facing North while performing a double knife hand guarding block.
Move the left (front foot) to the side, changing into left front stance facing North. Middle back hand punch. Kihap.
Move the left foot inward, then turn to face South and move the right foot slightly to the side to stand in a right back stance facing south. Inside block with the right hand.
Move the right foot to the side into a right front stance facing South. Twist into a back punch with the left hand.
Left leg round house to the South, setting the foot down.
Right leg side kick to the South, pulling knee back in and holding.
Set right foot down into a right back stance facing South and performing a double knife hand guarding block.
Stepping off to the side with the right foot into a right front stance facing South, twist into a back punch with the left hand. Kihap.
Bring the right foot back to the left foot. Then bring the left foot around in a counterclockwise motion to stand in a left front stance facing the West. Low block with the left hand.
Right back punch in the same stance.
Right front kick.
Land forward into a right front stance facing West. Back hand punch.
Front punch in the same stance.
Pick up right foot and rotate clockwise into a right front stance facing East. Low block with right hand.
Back hand punch in the same stance.
Left front kick.
Land forward into left front stance facing East. Back hand punch.
Front hand punch in the same stance. Kihap.
