Joong-Gun

Ahn Joong-Gun was a patriot who assassinated Ito Hirobumi, the four-time prime minister of Japan and first Governor-General of Korea. The 32 moves of the form represent Joong-Gun's age when he died in prison in 1910.
This form is notable for shifting frequently between front stance and back stance. The performer should make it clear at all times which stance they are in for each move.
This is the only color belt form which has only three kihaps instead of four.
Start in ready stance with feet together and the left hand lightly cupping the right fist with the knuckles facing outward, as if holding a sword and shield in both hands.
Step with the left foot into a left back stance facing West. Left middle reverse knifehand block.
Pick up the left foot and execute a left front kick to the West.
Lower the left foot down and then step lightly forward with the right foot into a left cat stance to the West. Right upward palm block. Kihap.
Pick up the right foot and rotate clockwise into a right back stance facing East. Right middle reverse knifehand block.
Pick up the right foot and execute a right front kick to the East.
Lower the right foot down and then step lightly forward with the left foot into a right cat stance to the East. Left upward palm block.
Step with the left foot into a left back stance facing North. Twin knifehand guarding block.
Slide the left foot to the side to shift into a left front stance facing North. Right (back hand) upward elbow strike.
Step forward into a right back stance facing North. Twin knifehand guarding block.
Slide the right foot to the side to shift into a right front stance facing North. Left (back hand) upward elbow strike.
Step forward into a left front stance facing North. Double face punch.
Step forward into a right front stance facing North. Double upset punch to the stomach. Kihap.
Shift the right foot sideways and inward, then turn around counterclockwise in place and move the left foot sideways to form a left front stance facing South. High X-block.
Bring the left foot back to the right, then step out with the left foot into a left back stance facing East. Horizontal backfist strike with the left hand.
Jerk the left fist back and downward as if breaking from a grab. While doing so, shift the left foot to the side in preparation for a front stance.
Twist into a right (back hand) high punch while falling into a left front stance facing East. (Perform 15 and 16 in a fast motion)
Bring the left foot to the right foot and then step with the right foot into a back stance facing West. Horizontal backfist strike with the right hand.
Jerk the right fist back and downward as if breaking from a grab. While doing so, shift the right foot to the side in preparation for a front stance.
Twist into a left (back hand) high punch while falling into a right front stance facing East. (Perform 18 and 19 in a fast motion)
Bring the right foot to the left foot and then step with the left foot into a left front stance facing South. Double front block.
Bring the left foot back to the right foot, then lunge out into a left back stance facing South. Middle punch with left (front) hand.
Right side kick to the South.
Land in a right front stance facing South. Double front blokc.
Bring the right foot back to the left foot, then lunge out into a right back stance facing South. Middle punch with right (front) hand.
Left side kick to the South.
Land in a left back stance facing South. Twin closed fist guarding block.
Drop the left (front) hand down in front while raising the right (back) hand to shoulder level. Slowly shift into a left front stance while executing a double palm block with both hands going in opposite directions.
Step forward into a right back stance facing South. Twin closed fist guarding block.
Drop the right (front) hand down in front while raising the left (back) hand to shoulder level. Slowly shift into a right front stance while executing a double palm block with both hands going in opposite directions.
Bring the left foot forward to the right foot and stand in a feet together parallel stance facing East. Set the right fist into a hook punch. Perform this move slowly.
Step with the right foot into a right back stance facing East. Stick block out 45º with the right hand lower and the left hand at head height.
Bring the right foot in to the left foot, then step out with the left foot into a left back stance facing West. Stick block out 45º with the left hand lower and the right hand at head height. Kihap.
